My name is Deborah Hyden BSc (Hons) Psychology, MRes
All the dogs you see on this page are my own.
Although I've had dogs all my life, Buster, our wee terrier was the first Hyden Family dog who was adopted back in 2002. Molly the Collie was added to our "pack" in 2010 and although they've both gone over the rainbow bridge they remain in our hearts. Sadly our wee Rosie mouse joined them very recently.
Now, we are the proud guardian's of Rusty& Rooney and little Maggie. All our dogs were/are from rescue and each has their own story!
In addition to being an experienced dog owner, my Psychology degree included a module on animal learning and behaviour. I have also attended a number of training classes with my own dogs, including Al Rankin's Rowdy to relaxed class, a specialist course dealing with anxious/reactive behaviour; man trailing with the Daisy Dog Academy, (an ideal activity for reactive dogs) and Joanne Doonan's fun agility and training class which is fantastic for building a dog's confidence..
I have passed the IMDT Professional Dog Walkers course and have completed OCN Level 3 award in pet first aid & CPR. I've also signed up to Belfast city Council's green dog walker scheme
I am committed to treating dogs with kindness in accordance with the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 & a member of Yappily.
Honest and trustworthy, I have had Access NI checks completed and I'm fully insured for the care, custody & control of your beloved pets.
I will care for your family member as if they were one of my own: With love, attention, and understanding.
